Can it be that race week was over one month ago?? What a week it was, Im heading back down race week memory lane this week. I decided to split up my race week antics, I started writing and it was turning into a mega long blog post!! So watch out for an over load of Kemple Blog posts this week :).
I was away In Thailand last race week and most other years, I was usually working for raceweek busy busy getting everyone glam, so this year it was fun to experience the other side of it.
I didn’t think I’d enjoy the outfit planning side of race week as much as I did! Thankfully I had the absolute pleasure of working with Jo in Olivia Danielle’s Athlone and Suzie of Suzie Mahoney designs for my four main event days ! I was a little nervous about my first full on raceweek experience, but I have to say I loved experimenting with a different side to my style.I loved wearing dresses that were that little bit extra glam, something that you wouldn’t wear on a night out. It was so much fun, mixing and matching the looks and really stepping out of my comfort zone. We made some changes to the outfits with different handbags and accessories. The amazing team in Quiff hair and Beauty looked after my hair and make up all week, and I had popped into Quiff for A facial before the races to get my skin ready for the madness and it worked a charm!! Ill go through all of my make up looks in each post also.
So here we go raceweek Monday Day 1!!!!!
I wore this amazing bright Yellow Dress it super comfy and the yellow really popped. It just sat perfectly and had a nice swish as the material was really light and I loved the sliver/gold band of bling around the centre! For my first make up look of the week I decided on a pop of red lippy and a strong black flick liner look with lashes we went with a grey/silver smoky look to pick up the detailing in the hat. The girls in Quiff were amazing and got exactly the looks I was after all week, I literally felt like a could have been in Paris with the style of this hat with the flower on top and the chain detail I loved how the dress made the perfect color statement and I had black peep toe booties to finish off this girly but funky look what a start to my week!
My First event of the week was the Latin quarter Galway event where EVOKE.IE were there. The amazing Loraine Keane was MC with the Only Galway man brave enough for the Job Mr Galway Player. Lorraine was also a guest judge for all the style picking!! I was spotted just outside Kilkenny shop, while watching the outdoor ashion show. I made the top 5 best dressed ladies about that evening I think my face says it all..I was so excited possibly a little too much. Laura Fox the super glam MC for the evening interviewed us all and we chatted about our outfit choices and where we got everything!! My amazing blogger buddy Triona from Modafix blog was crowned the winning look and isnt her outfit beautiful her Hat was another Suzie Mahoney design!
Here are my favorite pictures from Monday of Raceweek
