Hi,guys!! A couple of weeks ago I went along to a fab little event in one of my all time favourite spots in Galway, The House Hotel! I’ve gone to so many events with the girls in the House we’ve had plenty of events and celebrations there over the years and lots of fab memories I love the House! This event “The Ken Boylan Makeup Master class” was organised by one of my favourite people and bestie Fiona! Fiona and I used to own our own beauty salon together for 8 years and we decided to try out some new ventures separately about a year ago, I went off in my Thailand adventure and turned into the blogging crazy that I am, and Fiona started her own beauty and makeup corner cbeauty on Dominic street! I was so so so excited to go along to this event as was have held so many together in the house hotel it was lovely to work together again! I also met Natalie from boudoir girls and we all remembered we all met for the first time in the house hotel years back for a wedding fair!! The House really has brought us great things!!
The man of the moment Ken Boylan is truly one of Ireland’s too makeup artist and he has gone up a level and has his own range of make up that Fiona stocks in her salon!! The only stockist this side of the country woohoo!!
Ken did two looks the first a natural everyday look and the second a more dramatic look, I have to say I spent a lot of the night laughing away at Ken he’s certainly a character and he knows what he wants!! I loved the drama of it all hahaha, I totally agree also with his attitude on makeup and that you don’t always need layers and layers of makeup to feel good, I sometimes feel like the art of natural makeup has disappeared, I’ve always loved a more natural look especially on the skin and both of Kens looks were very wearable I loved them!! I pickedd up a couple of tips too especially when applying cream products, it’s best to gently tap them on to the skin as opposed to rubbing the product in great for cream blushes, and to achieve that really natural glow on the skin which is my fave look.
The team at the house hotel really really pulled out all the stops the food was amazing and delicious as always, and we had a girly cocktail on arrival yummy raspberry deliciousness that has to be the official name haha, Followed by super cute fish and chips, mini burgers and sausage rolls and we were all over fed!! During a little break from makeup we were treated to a little fashion show with fab clothes and headpieces by with two of my favourite businesses Emily Jean: Milliner & Jewellery Designer and Willow the fantastic hairdresser Bliss Bridal Hair Styling. We were all left certainly feeling Racing inspired!! Here are a few of my snaps from the night!!
